The Society is now in rehearsals for our next production South Pacific which is set on a small South Pacific island. It is World War II and the US Army is stationed on the island. Nellie Forbush, a young Navy nurse falls in love with a midde aged French plantation owner. Lt Joe Cable arrives to carry out a top secret spying mission against the Japanese fleet from behind the enemy lines. He is befriended by a local trader Bloody Mary and soon becomes involved with her beautiful young daughter. Classic songs include ' Some Enchanted Evening ', 'Bali Hi ', ' There is Nothing lika a Dame', ' Younger than Springtime', ' I'm Gonna wash That Man Right Outta My Hair ', and many more.

Julie Mallaband returns as Production Director with David Easto as our Musical Director and Sarah Clark makes her debut as Choreographer.

In Autumn 2008 we will be performing 'Hello Dolly' from Tuesday 28th October to Saturday 1st November 2008.

In Spring 2009 we will be performing 'Witches of Eastwick', in April subject to agreement with the Theatre.
